Police is on the hunt for a serial killer. They have identifed three more escort girls found dead on Long Island beach. They have now confirmed that they are looking for a 'Craigslist killer' in the New York area.
The escort girls have been named as Melissa Barthelemy, 24, from the Bronx, Amber Lynn Costello, 27, of North Babylon and Maureen Brainer-Barnes, 25 from Norwich, Connecticut. They have been found on Gilgo Beach in December.
They have one thing in common – working on Craiglist erotic ads.
Authorities believe the women were killed at a different location but then their bodies were dumped on the Long Island beach.
Although they do not believe there are more victims, police said they will do another thorough search of the beach
The bodies found were all in different states of decomposition and it is thought they may have been dumped several months apart. The killer might have started months ago. Every escort girl in New York has to be very careful until the killer is caught.
